Please join MBAA for our annual safety event! This year we will be hosting a Safety Dinner, in which attendees will have an opportunity to network and mingle during cocktail hour, and will then be seated for a plated dinner during which Robert Sumwalt, former NTSB Chairman, will speak.
Robert Sumwalt was appointed to the NTSB in 2006 and served for almost fifteen years, the last four of which he served as the 14th Chairman of the organization. Prior to serving on the NTSB, Sumwalt spent 32 years as a pilot. He currently serves transportation safety analyst for CBS News. In January 2022, Sumwalt will join Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as Distinguished Fellow in Aviation Safety and Executive Director of Embry-Riddle’s Center for Aviation and Aerospace Safety.Sumwalt’s leadership efforts and dedication to safety have been praised throughout his career, and MBAA is excited to host him as this year’s Safety Dinner presenter.
